The food was very delicious and the stuff is very friendly and nice! We came back because the atmosphere was very good and we wanted to try other dishes.
Stumbled across this place just of the main road in Riomaggiore. Tables outside are perched on the stairs in open air but away from the crowds. We were lucky to get a same day reservation. We split 4 pastas (including the testaroli, tortellini & pesto pasta) and a tasty swordfish between the 4 of us, and that was the right amount. The service was friendly but not super fast (even for a European standards) but when we discovered the last train out was earlier than expected, the staff was very understanding and made sure we got all the food to the table to finish it in time, sped up the payment process; all in all that was pretty great. Would return here.
Great spot at Riomaggiore, hidden between the alleyways of the town. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the steps. Food was perfect, fresh and delicious, and the short haired waitress was super friendly and attentive. Overall recommend spot.
Amazing place in this town. The service was amazing, the food was just delicious and the price was reasonable. Everything about this cozy spot just amazes me. Not a big seafood person but the spaghetti here is just perfect! If you’re stopping by this town def worth a visit on your list! There’s this little cat that runs into the store from time to time so better make sure to not step on him! So cute!Hats off to Eliana’s service, she was super attentive and friendly. She was the highlight of the entire dining experience! Thank you!
Food was delicious and Eliana was so gracious- she speaks English very well even though she doesn't think she does. She brought me gluten free crackers and explained what was gluten free on the menu. They also have gluten free pasta! But everything was absolutely delicious and the restaurant was quaint and perfectly Italian. Absolutely would recommend.
Very authentic and traditional little restaurant hidden from the main road very cozy and spectacular cuisine! We tried the typical pesto fresh made pasta and a very flavorful and unique sea food pasta. The wine was fabulous from Cinque Terre and the waiters were very friendly …
Tucked away in an alley and up one flight of stairs is Osteria La Torpedine, a charming family-owned gem that serves amazing seafood and wine.My husband and I dined here on our first night in town and were so impressed that we had to come back before our trip ended. Both meals had fresh ingredients, thoughtful plating, and attentive service.Sara, the manager, is an absolute star. She handles all of the reservations while serving tables and still being personable and knowledgeable. This restaurant has easily become my favorite in the world. If you have the opportunity to visit Riomaggiore, you’ll have eat here at least once. Be sure to make a reservation by calling in advance or stopping in person during their open hours.
Small restaurant but easily top 1 or 2 best restaurants in our 7 day trip to Italy. We ordered 7-8 dishes and were not disappointed with anything. The staff were supportive and children-friendly. We really don’t know what to recommend here because everything is worth trying. The restaurant definitely deserves more customers.
